CHUCKS

When I was in Junior High School, Chuck Taylors were all the rage. My parents couldn't afford them, so I wore nasty K-mart athletic shoes I called them "Bumble Bees" because they were black and yellow. You could skate on blacktop year round because the rubber on the bottoms were sooooo hard. Well after a kid in school made fun of me for being too poor to wear Chucks, I saved all my money to buy my own. Since then they are the only tennis shoes I wear (and only red high-tops). Thus, most of my characters wear " Red Chucks."
