My dog, Curtis E. LeMay, and I have an evening tradition of making and eating peanut butter sammiches. I cut off the crust for him, since I don't like it, and I eat the center. He gets irritable if he misses his evening treat.
My wife was concerned about referencing terrorism in the strip, but I felt it is a part of our culture now. It has been for a long time. I am not making fun of it by any means. It, like so many other things, have been added to our culture and my mentioning it, I hope, is not upsetting to anyone in this context.
