I know how Herman feels. When I installed an in-ground doggie fence, yes, I tried it on myself to make sure I did not hurt our pooch, April. Well to say the least, it was set too high. It really hurt. So be careful when you set the level of shock for your pet. p.s. I don't hear very well so I didn't hear the warning beep.
